for audience cell phones, projections, fixed electronics
Description:
An immersive multimedia project utilizing film projection and audience cell phones, I Wasn't Thinking is loosely inspired by guided meditations. It explores the unique affordances and pitfalls of using technology to quiet thought. At the beginning of the piece, the audience is given a choice of two QR codes to scan, taking them to separate videos. They are then cued to all press play simultaneously, creating a loosely coordinated soundscape accompanying the projected film and soundtrack.
